GUNUNG SARI (A village just 4 km north of Mataram, to see people making furniture from doted bamboo. Tables, chairs and the others are made here, making this furniture seems to be apart of their activities besides farming some of this furniture are decorated and man or woman makes these either)

JANGKUK (North of Cakranegara, just 2 kms there is a small village called Jangkuk. The only village in West Lombok where you can see the secondary activities of the people such as: made woodcarving. Also if you are an antique collector, the village of Jangkuk is the home base of it)

KARANG BAYAN (A Sasak Traditional Village which is situated on the hillside with a fresh and peaceful atmosphere, where to see the typical sasak house, Bale 'Balak (living house) with short door, thatched roof and ground flour, the other is Sambi (rice bam). This village is heavily populated with a nice people)

FANCY ART HOUSE GALLERY (The central of high quality of local artifact i.e. traditional ikat weaving, mask statue painting jewelry, antique box, etc from all over Nusa Tenggara Barat)

NYIUR BAYA (For those being fond of short walk, this mountain weed basket village is a splendid place. Two-km walk on foot passing through terraced rice field, mountain view and the soft sound of running river welcome you always. Basket item which is made of mountain weed in traditional style available here)

SURANADI FOREST RECREATION PARK (A cool resort 17 km to the north east of Mataram. This forest recreation park occupies an area of 154 hectares. Between ceremonies are carried out inside the Hindu temple complex. There is a "sacred" water spring in the font yard of the main temple with the feel like fish as the major attraction. This area is a mixed moist forest with a maximum temperature of 27O C)

BH AMI 609: Soft Trekking
Early in the morning drive up to Punikan village, starting point to walk. Start walking from Punikan up to Sesaot for tour hour walk through terraced rice fields, coffee plantation, bamboo forest, across the river. A local huts of mountain ethnic group and sees their way of life. Most kind of seasonal fruit, pineapple, jackfruit, banana etc. Spring and deep tropical rain forest of Sesaot is no less interesting. After walk drive up to Suranadi to relax or just swim in natural spring swimming pool, by noontime drive back to hotel.

Driving to east Lombok passing through picturesque view of Mt. Rinjani. Heading up to Labuhan Lombok, to get public ferry to Sumbawa Island. On the way to Sumbawa Besar stop visit at Bungin Island, a unique traditional fisherman village,a small island, only 15 hectars with 2480 people. Lunch with lunch box. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
