A DIVER'S PARADISE

Throughout thousand of years the thriving marine life around Bali has remained virtually untouched. This underwater world now offers a rich array of fish and coral found nowhere else in the world. With diving we can explore this new underwater world of the sea. We are sure you'll experience unforgettable memories at all our dive sites in Bali.


Bali's Dive Sites :

Padang Bay

Reef type : Flat-bottomed mixed reef and bottom, some wall
Access : 10 - 15 minutes by boat
Visibility : Variable ; poor to good, 6 - 15 meters
Current : Usually gentle but up to 3 knots
Coral : Scattered outcrops, fair variety
Fish : Good variety and numbers
Highlights : Large feeding titan trigger fish blue spotted stingrays


Gili Tepekong (shark point)

Reef type : -
Access : 30 - 40 minutes by small outboard
Visibility : Variable; poor to very good; 6 - 20 meters
Current : Can be extremely strong, more than 5 knots
Coral : Excellent coverage and variety
Fish : Literally teeming with fish
Highlights : Tepekong's canyon, good chance to see pelagics
Other : Very tricky currents, strong surge; uncomfortably cold

Just offshore from Candi Dasa is tiny Tepekong, a little outcrop that offers some spectacular diving. The corals wall is steep, the water is cold, and the current can be strong. Drifting through the canyon offers an unforgettable underwater experience. Please note; experience divers only recommended. Due the currents can be unpredictable.


Amed

Reef type : Coastal reef; flats, slope and wall
Access : Beach entry ; 10 minutes by small boat
Visibility : Fair to very good, 15 - 20 meters
Current : Mild
Coral : Excellent; best hard coral variety in Bali
Fish : Superb variety, excellent numbers
Highlights : Density of fish on the deep wall; coral species just off the beach
Other : -

From the beach, Amed offers an excellent site for training dives. It has a flat bottom lagoon for instruction and a coral reef only 5 minutes swim away. This location is highly recommended for introductory dives. By boat, Amed has a nice wall dive just a few minutes away. It is a fun, easy dive for everyone.


Tulamben ( shipwrecks )

Reef type : Liberty's wreck; wall
Access : Beach; ship is 20 meters offshore
Visibility : Fair to good, 15 - 20 meters
Current : None or moderate, 1 knot
Coral : Good growth of encrusting animals on wreck, fine coral on wall
Fish : Superb variety,excellent numbers
Highlights : Full moon night dive on wreck
Other : Fish on wreck are regularly fed and quite tame

Tulamben is a a fun dive for all types of divers. The wreck is the U.S Liberty, a cargo ship that sunk during World War II. Now it has an abundance of coral, sponges, gorgonia and a wide array tame and friendly fish.


Menjangan

Reef type : Walls, particularly rugged; wreck
Access : 30 minutes from main island
Visibility : Excellent to superb, 25-45 meters
Current : Very slight
Coral : Very good numbers and variety; abundant soft corals
Fish : Good number, only average variety
Highlights : "Anker" wreck
Other : -

Menjangan is a small island of the coast of Bali on the northwest side that is reserved as a national park. This island has many different points to dive from depending on the divers skill and objectives. One site includes a bed of sea snakes and resident sharks.
